Your mission
Piktochart is a fully remote startup developing SaaS products to help our users tell their stories using infographics or video clips ready to easily target their audience. If you have a strong passion for scaling web apps in cloud environments, automation, application security and backend development, we need your help!
It's ok you might not have all the skills we've listed. If you have a mix of some of the listed skills and you're interested in developing in the others, we want to hear from you too!
Your mission

The Dev Ops will be responsible for the following items.

1. Set up infrastructure and automate development/release processes
You design scalable, reliable, and secure SaaS infrastructure on GCP & AWS. You participate in the backend development of NodeJS based services. You automate the deployment of containerized applications on Kubernetes.
2. Ensures the quality of the product conforms to its requirement
You monitor the health of our services and infrastructure. You analyze software performance and perform system/code/cost optimization. You are in charge of debugging production issues across all layers of the stack and services.

3. Collaborative work makes the outcome better
You thrive in a collaborative atmosphere, co-operate with your team members through code review, documentation, retrospectives, and training to help improve our collective knowledge and best practices. You actively participate and contribute to discussions around making our product better.
You offer
You are experienced with deploying, implementing and operating services in managed Kubernetes or via other container orchestration platforms. You have deep knowledge of Unix/Linux environments (preferably Ubuntu or Debian). You have advanced experience with managing and operating Cloud environments (GCP or AWS). You are experienced with backend development based on the NodeJS ecosystem (JavaScript, TypeScript), configuring load balancers or reverse proxies based on Nginx and database systems in scale (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redis/Memcache). You have knowledge of web application security standards.

It will be great if you have experience with CI/CD services and pipelines (CircleCI, Google Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, etc), NodeJS, Golang or Ruby and their ecosystem and Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban). You have high self-learning abilities to adapt to emergency circumstances. You are able to manage multiple issues at once and keep your team updated. 

This position is remote, and we prefer the candidate to be in Asia or Europe.
